Inspiration Strikes

"I'll type one more line, and then I'll make you some email...I mean oatmeal."

Standing on the Bandwagon

Selling  on Ebay  or anywhere:
The seller states his price.
Line drawn.  Simple equation.  Rules up front.
The prospective buyer must take it or leave it.

Then there's Buy it Now,  or Make An Offer.
Make An Offer gives room for  compromise.  Work it out.  Keep in mind, how far the distance  from Buy It Now. It's  still necessary to know where to draw the line, and stand your ground.
The prospective buyer must take it or leave it.

And I'm not talking  about marketing right now.  More about having the strength to draw the line in anything and to stand your ground.

First, good  to know your ground.

Plain Baking

One tablespoon of dark molasses stirred into  one cup of white sugar makes...brown sugar.
Flavorful  brown sugar that tastes like brown sugar, only better.
(Blackstrap molasses has a smidgen of potassium, calcium, magnesium, and iron in every tablespoon.)

Fruitcake baking has ended.  On to quick breads.

So sew. Sow.

Rotary cutter and pad.
A warehouse full of fabrics.

I cannot compete with a serger.
Don't want to.

Needle and thread.
Small stash of cotton prints.

So I sew.  (Fabric is a feast for the eyes.)
Some to keep.  Some to give.  Some to sell.

Check this out Tam:
The seller msbonnieb on Ebay has a good selection of new patterns for period costumes and designer dresses.

Take Pause

"Roam'n in the gloam'n"  (Taking a stroll at twilight - just before dark.)

It's time to be thinking about - out with the old and in with the new. To take a deep breath, and exhale the carbon dioxide.  Maybe I'll take up the harmonica.  The pulmonary people recommend it.

Home/Not Home For Christmas

"If you ain't where you are,  you're no place."  (Colonel Potter on Mash - last night's rerun. )
Embace the moment that you are in.

I Like Space

I like space.  That includes in the margins.

Floating on the ocean for half a day is different from being lost at sea and adrift in the giant waves. (Uncertainty takes the fun and adventure out of the journey.)  Christmas carols are playing..."Mary did you know your baby boy would some day walk on water..."  FAITH.

Friends you hear from at Christmas or afterwards

Don't you hate it when long ago,  far away friends email you when  your annual Christmas greeting card doesn't show. You want to...
